RLTT co-founder and original Creative Director Megan Day will be featured in a taped segment for ‘Israfel’, while current Creative Director and President Mitchell W. Butts will perform ‘The Tell-Tale Heart’. Executive Director Kevin Holmes, will also be showcased as he performs his interpretation of Poe’s classic ‘The Raven’.

Road Less Traveled Theatre Announces Free Educational Material for Classrooms
The Road Less Traveled Theatre of North Carolina announces the coming release of free educational material for schools and teachers. The material will consist of a packet of background historical information and suggestions for classroom-based activities that teachers might like to encourage students to take part in for extra class credit, independent projects, or to fulfill other planned project goals.
These packets will be made available online as a printable PDF file so that instructors, curriculum planners, and administrators can review it on their PC or print it for use in the classroom.
The purpose of the packets is to help educators identify opportunities and appropriate methods for integrating information about various points of history and literature. Typically they will be written in conjunction with RLTT performances.
The first release will consist of material related to our current production, 'Poe: The Elevation of Decay,' and is currently in creation by RLTT's creative director Mitchell W. Butts and executive director Kevin R. Holmes. This information is being designed to target students at the middle and high school levels; material for other shows might target older or younger students as appropriate.
"It is our goal to continue offering programs of this nature that tie in to all upcoming productions. We hope that you will find our material useful and our shows entertaining and educational. We believe that our programs represent an innovative and effective method of raising interest in the arts, literature, and history, and we look forward to working with the educators of North Carolina and beyond in the future," said Executive Director Kevin Holmes in a statement.
